Jo Coventry
General Manager

Jo Coventry has a Bachelor of Education with a specialist major in Secondary Drama and a Major in English Literature. Currently the General Manager of Urban Myth Theatre of Youth, Jo’s professional history has been diverse. Teaching in schools for a while, one of the founders of the Hills Youth Theatre,  co-founder of the educational theatre company Improd Theatre, actor, working as a comedian for 10 years etc, Jo supplemented her income by working as a drama tutor for most of the youth theatres in South Australia, as well as many of the private organisations. After deciding that comedy just wasn’t going to get her a new car, Jo began working in Arts Administration for organisations such as Carclew Youth Arts Centre, Adelaide Fringe, Windmill Performing Arts, The Australian Festival for Young People and now Urban Myth. With hopes one day of writing and performing something really good, Jo is currently enjoying learning as much as she can about Arts Management before deciding on what to do next.
